The material  of this beautiful sun dress is silky and feels nice on the skin and the overall quality is super good. I have this in a size S and it fits quite well, though I prefer it to be a little bit longer. A beautiful floral print in emerald shades makes this dress ideal for a warm summer day.

Collectif Clothing "Winnie" Velvet Pencil Dress in Leopard

I think I'm not the only girl who adores leopard print here, so I hope you will benefit from this review. In their amazing winter collection among the various stunning dresses Collectif Clothing released Winnie Velvet Pencil Dress - the glamorous piece to die for. Of course, I couldn't resist it's charms! When I received the parcel I was on cloud nine. I tried it on in front of the mirror and it was very spectacular and beautiful, perfectly underlined my figure. But when I decided to wear it on the street, the problems started... As it turned out, it is very difficult to sit down in this dress, raise your hands, fasten your shoes. It constantly slips off the shoulders and causes a lot of discomfort. The situation is very sad because I adore this dress, but maybe I'll have to alter it in the skirt. I began to look for other reviews about Winnie Velvet Pencil Dress and realized that I'm not the only one person who remained unhappy with this purchase. I hope my favorite brand will somehow solve this problem and re-release this wonderful dress in a more thoughtful way.

Luckily for me I will have those gorgeous photos next to the 1966 Ford Galaxy 500  in memory of this dress forever.

Fire walk with me: New Twin Peaks Season

Who else is excited about the new season of the cult TV series Twin Peaks? We were really looking forward to this event! While waiting for the release of the new episodes, we prepared a small project to channel our inner Twin Peaks girls.

                                    

Voodoo Vixen "Zelda" Space Print Dress

Carried away by fifties it's impossible not to become imbued with the incredible design decisions that were everywhere in circulation in the fashion of the time. Clothing, interiors, cars - all permeated with improbable faith in the human capabilities and progress. One of the most exciting areas of this culture is the so-called retro futurism. I looked through hundreds of photos with vintage cars, resembling space shuttles and many pictures that represent human exploration of space. Now it looks strange and too frantic for us, because the design has become faceless and monotonous. But my heart belongs entirely to the images of the 50's. I have long wanted to do something in the style of "Space pin-up". And finally I had such an opportunity due to fantastic Zelda Space Print Dress by Voodoo Vixen! This dress have been  created in the best traditions of retro futurism and I just love it! 

The dress is incredibly comfortable and made of a soft fabric. It perfectly enhances the silhouette and keeps the shape even without a petticoat. Although the Voodoo Vixen site says that the edging and the strap is red, I would say that it's bright pink. And it's wonderful, because pink comes to this space print much more better. 

Zelda Space Dress is a perfect decision for parties or Sci-Fi festivals. I would really recomend it to everyone who's in love with B movies! Wearing it is such a fun!

Lady Mayra Vintage Rose Dress

"Lady Mayra" is a small Thai brand that appeared on the fashion scene in 2012. They don't have a very large collection of clothes, but each thing is created manually. "Lady Mayra's" products are also characterized by relatively low prices, so they are perfect for creating a budget pinup wardrobe. Very light and high-quality Japanese cotton is used in their items, so "Lady Mayra's" dresses and skirts are perfect for hot summer days. Size chart of this brand is somewhat smaller than usual, so keep in mind that it's better to take one size larger, especially in bust. 

Irina Voorhees is wearing Vintage Rose Dress. It has very beautiful floral print in pastel colors. The fabric is almost weightless, but it doesn't stretch. With or without a petticoat this dress creates a charming look, that would be perfect both for working days and for the parties. This dress is ideal for a romantic vintage image, which can be complemented with a lovely hat and white gloves.

Voodoo Vixen "Ashlea" Pink High Neck Top

Pastel dreams

This cute top immediately caught my eye when I saw the SS2016 collection. Delicate peach color and embroidery in the form of cherries make it ideal for a summer picnic. A cute bow at the neck adds a pastoral charm. I chose the size S, and it fits perfectly my parameters 91-69cm. The only problem I encountered with this top is that it's slightly transparent. It wasn't easy to find the right underwear. For some strange reason it was the best with the blue set. As for the rest it's a magnificent top that makes me feel very glamorous and stylish in the warmer days. I've paired it with my favorite mint skirt from Zarina and absolutely loved the result!

Miss Candyfloss "Penny-Jean" Secretary Skirt

This year we have made an order from sweden vintage brand Miss Candyfloss for the first time. We have long been in love with their design, especially after delightful posts of vintage goddes Miss Victory Violet. It's so great that we can finally test their products ourselves! I picked two skirts from Miss C collections and going to tell you about one of them  in this post. 

I knew that I would celebrate Christmas in a cozy cardigan by Voodoo Vixen (read here), so was looking for a skirt that perfectly combines with it. My choice fell on Penny-Jean Secretary Skirt. It has a very gentle blue color and cute buttons that turn the skirt into a unique and recognizable style. The fabric is very light and stretches a little. It's a pity that there is no zipper, because constantly fasten and unfasten so many buttons is not very comfortable and quickly. The sizing is slightly off. My parameters are 64cm in waist and 92cm in hips  so I choose XS size according to Miss C size chart, but it's a little large for me. I would also advise Miss C team to retouch photos in the catalog a bit, to make it even more attractive. Despite these minor flaws, I really looove my skirt. It has the perfect length for a vintage item. And the details, you know, it's all in the details! Miss Candyfloss became famous in vintage fashion world exactly for the subtle vision of the details that make clothes inimitable. I wish them good luck and a lot of creative ideas in the new year!

Today we want to talk with you about one of the most cute winter styles ever created by vintage reproduction brands. Of course it's Voodoo Vixen Brooke Cardigan! Delicate combination of sky blue color with pearls and embroidery in the form of snowflakes makes it indispensable in the wardrobe of every retro fashion lover, and lovely bow adds romance to the whole look. Wear this cardigan with pearl or silver jewelry and you will no doubt be Snow Queen on any ball! 

Voodoo Vixen items are our old passion. We got acquainted with this brand a few years ago and make large purchases from them several times a year. Their design potential is increased in recent years. That only is the cooperation with the matchless Rachel from Chicago Chic Blog! But we advise you not to buy immediately all the stunning new products, offered by Voodoo Vixen for each season. It's very hard we know, but wait for the end of the season and you can buy clothes with a certain discount! 

To all the advantages that we have listed, we would like to add a small minus. The problem with the sizes. Often it turns out that things that tagged by Voodoo Vixen as S size are large even to the people who usually wears M. We would advise them to release XS size so that all the buyers were satisfied. However, you can always take in a little bit. On the other hand, we don't recommend to girls with full bust to buy S size cardigans, because buttons on them may come unfastened and you will look very juicy, you know. In spite of this, Voodoo Vixen is one of the best vintage brands and one of our ever favorite and we wish them success and prosperity in the new year!

Lindy Bop 'Bacall' Red Knitted Jumper

Hi lovelies!

Just a few days before Christmas! It's time to discuss the best winter outfits of the year. I think many people noticed that the Lindy Bop brand have changed their direction, walking away from a classic look to bright and bizarre prints. My love for the classics doesn't allow me to accept these changes. On the other hand, they have released a stunning collection of dresses in the style of the 1920s. Perhaps the price was initially somewhat high, but it's really an interesting phenomenon in the development of their design art. As for winter models, for me the absolute favorite is a collection of knitwear. Newman Cardigan, Woodward Jumper and especially Bacall Red Knitted Jumper, that I want to discuss with you!

I should note that I am usually between 8 and 10 sizes. My parameters  are around 91-69-100 cm. I bought size 8-10 and it fits perfectly. Despite the shortened sleeve jumper is really very warm! Material composition is really good: 55% Nylon, 39%Acrylic, 6% Wool. It even has a little tingling like a good old vintage sweater! 

But of course its main advantage is a bright red color and a wonderful ornament. In this jumper you will undoubtedly feel like a real pin-up girl from cheerful pictures of Gil Elvgren! What could be better for a Christmas mood ?!
